After hiking to a completely disappointing Maple Falls in the Forest of Nisene Marks State Park near Santa Cruz, we returned via this wonderful, peaceful redwood forest. The crunching underfoot reminded me of Sequoia National Park. This picture bears a striking resemblance to one taken by Galen Rowell in Redwood Regional Park in Oakland -- that happens to be one of my favorite pictures, as well.
