Half Dome By The Ankles

We'd just hiked to the top of Half Dome. Angie wanted to take a picture of the valley floor 4800 feet below, but wanted Joe to hold onto her ankles for peace of mind. The bright early afternoon sun muted the colors; in reality, the view from Half Dome isn't as great as you might think. But I like this picture; it would have been even better if I could have used an even wider lens and included some of the valley floor.
