Snow Crystals

While descending from Martis Peak Lookout near Lake Tahoe, I noticed how fine the snow on the side of the trail looked. I reached down my hand and it was completely different than the snow you find on ski slopes -- soft, airy, fluffy, so fine you can blow it off your hand. I took this picture in the afternoon sun. Even at 1-1/2 stops more than the meter reading, it's a bit underexposed, but I still like it.
