Tuolumne Sunset

The previous night, I'd taken some nice pictures of the clouds over Mt. Dana, Mt. Gibbs, and Lembert Dome, from near the bridge across from Lembert Dome. This night, I decided to walk out into Tuolumne Meadows to get a picture of the actual sunset. I waited and waited for it to get dark, but the clouds dissipated and I was left with a disappointing image. In the other direction, I saw beautiful pink clouds. I began to wish I'd picked the same spot as the previous night. But it would take too long for me to get there now. So I set up my tripod for what would turn out to be the last picture in the roll. This picture of the clouds over Tuolumne Meadows Grill is one of my favorites.
