Looking out from inside the lodge

After breakfast and scraping the snow off our car (there were about 3-4 inches
overnight), we drove back to General Sherman where we put on our snowshoes and
set off on the Congress Trail.
After the hike we drove over to Lodgepole, where the snack shop was open. We ate
lunch (box lunches from Wuksachi) and got some hot chocolate. Afterwards I dropped
Jean off at Wuksachi (she needed to warm herself back up after the hike). Then
I drove back to Lodgepole and parked at the end of the lot, near the bridge across
the river. I put on my snowshoes and set off toward Tokopah Falls.
