Jean and I spent the day cross-country skiing at Bear Valley. Although
it was January, the weather was more like spring. Not a cloud in the
sky and relatively warm. I just wore shell pants and a long-sleeve shirt.
Bear Valley is good for beginners -- there's a fair amount of very flat
green runs. There are also some blue runs with moderate climbs which
go through a beautiful aspen forest. It is well worth the climb. The
view from the lookout hut is so-so -- I enjoyed the aspen forest more.
