From the visitor's center near the dock, we took the Imus Creek Nature
Trail up the hill. At the trailhead, there's a box of nature guides to
go along with the hike, if you're interested.
The forest trail
It was drizzling as we headed up the trail by ourselves. The clouds and
mist added a nice feel to the hike, which shortly comes to a footbridge near
a small waterfall. There's a side trail to go to the falls, but we didn't
bother. We were a little pressed for timing, having to make it back in time
for the ferry.

The trail then goes parallel to the lake, roughly level, with a few views
of the lake opening up to the left. This is definitely no wilderness hike,
as the road is just down below. We could see construction going on as
well. Still, if you've got a half hour or so to spare, it's not a bad way
to spend the time.

The trail eventually veers left and drops onto the road near Purple Point
campground. From there, it's a short 5 or 10 minute walk back along the
road to the visitor's center (or dock, if that's where you're headed).
