Lake Chelan/Vancouver Island Trip |
Day 1 of 13
On a previous visit to the Seattle area, we visited Olympic National Park
and Mt. Rainier National Park. I wanted to also visit North Cascades
National Park sometime. While we technically didn't reach the park on this
trip, we did come close (at Stehekin, just south of the park). While we
were in the general vicinity, we also wanted to visit Vancouver Island.
Thursday night, we flew to Seattle, and spent the night in a hotel near the
airport, preparing for the drive the next morning.
