Drive to South Lake Tahoe

Nothing exciting here. Just drove up to South Lake Tahoe after work on
Friday. We had explored staying in the Kirkwood area (for example, Sorensens),
but they were booked (you'll need to book in advance if you're hoping to go
there for fall colors). I also thought Tioga Pass Resort might be nice at
this time of year, but they had closed two weeks earlier. So we opted for
the safe route of a hotel in South Lake Tahoe.
