We woke around 7am to the sound of wild turkeys, some of which walked on the road right in front
of our tent. We'd heard and seen a couple turkeys from a distance the night before, but this time they were
much closer and louder.

We had breakfast and packed up our camp. It was already warm as we got ready, and it would only
get hotter. We were hoping to do a hike before it got too hot, but we didn't really succeed.
Since check-out time from the campground was 12pm, we decided to just leave our car parked in camp,
starting our hike around 10am.
Then we were off on the
Lake Chabot hike. After the hike, we headed home. It was a somewhat strange feeling
knowing that we'd crammed a short camping trip into a weekend, and it was still
only around 1pm!
