Steelhead Lake hike

While it was a bit on the chilly side at night, it warmed very quickly in the morning. The campground host came by to collect the $19 per night for our stay (we'd missed her yesterday). I asked her about firewood and she suggested the Mobil store near Lee Vining, or Tuolumne Meadows. I also pointed out that the drinking water pump was not working. She said she'd put a work order in to get it fixed. In the meantime, we'd have to use bottled water.

After breakfast, we drove to Saddlebag Lake to hike to Steelhead Lake.

After the hike we made the 15-20 minute drive down to the Mobil store near Lee Vining for some supplies. It was packed. There were cars parked everywhere on the side of the road. There's also a restaurant here, which we briefly thought about eating at before deciding not to.

We returned to our camp site where it was cold and windy. So after dinner we had a campfire (we'd bought wood at Saddlebag Lake) and s'mores.
