We had time for a short little walk/hike after our earlier hike to Crater Peak.
We parked in the small lot at the end of the road. Many people just stop at the overlook
and then leave, though many also venture out onto the very short trail along the edge
overlooking The Pinnacles. These are rock formations
formed by rising volcanic gases. They are clearly visible from the overlook and also
from the trail.

The trail itself is almost completely flat, with the best views in the first tenth of a
mile. We continued for 0.4 miles to the edge of the park. It looks like the trail
continues, but it didn't look like there was much to see beyond, so we turned around.
I am also guessing that, based on the geography, this is best viewed in the morning
when the light is coming from the east.
No idea what this is, but it's at the park boundary
