In the morning, we checked out of our rental (we'd only gotten it for one night), then drove over to the Portland Farmer's Market at Portland State University. Rows and rows of vendors were selling berries and other fruits, jams, sausages and other meats, lunch fare of all kinds, and lots of people were milling about as a band played undeath the tall trees. A the far end was an Iranian festival, as well. We spent a couple hours here, then drove over to our house rental (we we'd rented for the rest of our trip).
After unpacking and taking a little break, we drove over to Forest Park for a day hike in
Lower Macleay Park.

After the hike, we returned to our house rental, and then had dinner at a nice local Thai place. Then it was over to Powell's City of Books - one of the largest bookstores in the world.
