Our plane landed in Barcelona around 5pm. After going through customs we took a shuttle to our apartment stay. Traffic was bad and I was glad we weren’t renting a car.
After settling in, we dragged our exhausted selves outside to walk around and find a place to eat. The main street (Passeig de Gràcia) was littered with high end stores, like Gucci, where there was a line of people waiting to get in. I guess they limit the number of people inside to help reduce theft.
There were tons of pedestrians, probably mostly tourists like ourselves. We only saw one apparently homeless person, though one apparently tried to spit at my wife the next morning as she walked to a bakery to pick up some breakfast.
We shortly found a tapas place (Vinitus) and ate there. There was lots of good seafood and other dishes, at a great price.
After dinner we picked up a few groceries nearby and then returned to the apartment, where we went to sleep after nearly 30 waking hours.
