Rain was forecast today, but it ended up being very little rain. Still, we decided to take a break from hiking today.
After breakfast we drove over to see Chihuly Garden and Glass, a place I'd never even heard of until a co-worker mentioned
it to me a few weeks ago. It's hard to describe so I'll let the pictures do the talking. It was pretty amazing to see and
think about all the work it must have taken to create. We also sat and watched a demonstration of glass blowing,
which was interesting to watch.

After the museum, we had lunch, then spent a short time at Seward Park.
Then we met up with one of my old college friends I hadn't seen in over 25 years who now lives in Seattle.

We had a couple more daylight hours, so we used them to visit the Kubota Garden. It's much larger than
the Seattle Japanese Garden at Washington Park Arboretum, and it's free, and was much less crowded. It
also has a nice selection of little paths to walk and I'd definitely recommend it.
