Jennie and I hiked in Tuolumne Meadows.

We walked from the Tuolumne Meadows campground to the Lembert Dome parking area. The trail doesn't start there, however. You first need to follow the dirt/gravel road off to the left, to a gate. The trail starts there.

The trail is almost completely flat. Lembert Dome looms behind. There are panels by the side of the trail which give descriptions of the trees and wildlife of the area.

Soda Springs

The trail heads west to Soda Springs. The springs are a bit disappointing. They are small holes in the ground, slowly bubbling up water. The remains of some log structure surround most of them.

The trail back crosses a bridge over the Tuolumne River, passing through the meadow to the Tuolumne Meadows Grill.

Return to Mount Whitney trip report.
