After breakfast I called the ranger station to make sure of the directions to our
hike. In one map I saw Blackwood Canyon Road, but in another, it said Barker Pass
Road. In the end, the sign on Highway 28 said one, but once we got on the road,
it said another. So if you're keeping score at home, look for either one, about
4 miles south of Tahoe City. Once we found the road we drove up 7 miles and joined
Nancy, Kim, and Liz for our hike up Ellis Peak.
After the hike we returned to our cabin. Leslie and Phil joined us and we had
a barbeque in the cabin's spacious yard. Afterwards we played a game of Apples
to Apples before heading off to sleep.
