Costanoa Trip

Day 3 of 3

Previous Day | Trip Home | Next Day

Sunday, November 3rd
Franklin Point, Bonny Doon

I had hoped to get up early in the morning to take some pictures in and around Costanoa. Unfortunately sleep got the better of me, and I didn't get a chance to. You'll just have to check out the Costanoa web site.

After breakfast we hiked out to Franklin Point. After the hike, we drove down Highway 1 about 15 miles to Bonny Doon winery. It's about 4 miles inland from the highway. I was a little surprised to find the small tasting room packed. Tasting is free of charge, and they provided a generous sampling of about 7 different wines. I'm sure they're the only winery which has a wine with Chairman Mao on the label (the wine, a pink, is actually quite good). We bought a couple of different wines and headed home.
