Imus Creek Trail; Back to Chelan

Misty Lake Chelan

Stehekin Dock

Looking toward the far end of Lake Chelan

It was drizzling a bit when we woke up in the morning. Originally, we were supposed to take the late afternoon ferry back to Chelan. However, because of the weather, we decided to take an earlier ferry. The 10:30am ferry didn't show up (mechanical problems), so we decided to take the 11:45am ferry. This gave us enough time to do the Imus Creek Nature Trail.

After the hike, we got onto the ferry. This one was noticeably slower than the one we'd taken to Stehekin. It lumbered along in about 2 1/2 hours to Chelan, stopping 2 or 3 times along the way.

Back in Chelan, we had lunch, then drove to a nearby bed and breakfast where we had reservations for the next couple nights. There, we talked to the owner who recommended the Hungry Belly for dinner. We liked it so much that we ate dinner there for two straight nights, as well as lunch once. It's a little hole in the wall in a strip mall in Chelan (near the Safeway), but has a nice variety of pastas and sandwiches, including such varied items as Pad Thai and Cajun chicken fettuccine.
