The next day, Tuesday morning, we slept in a bit, then stopped by the Bear Valley cross-country
center. It was, as expected, mostly bare. They had ice skating in the morning, but definitely
not enough snow to ski. We stopped in to pick up a hiking map of the area (I'd forgotten mine),
and asked about the weather. No significant snow was in the forecast.
Then we continued on up the road to
Lake Alpine for a hike.
After the hike, we drove to the Bear Valley store for a few groceries, then back to our cabin.
