This morning the skies were cloudy in the morning again. It wasn't raining at our rental house, but I assumed that it probably was up on Waimea Canyon Drive. Barring any new information, I assumed that the weather today would be similar to yesterday's - raining in the morning, clearing in the afternoon. As such, we decided to lounge around in the morning, then have lunch at the Shrimp Station.
Afterwards, we drove up Waimea Canyon and hiked to
Waipo'o Falls.
After the hike, we drove back down Waimea Canyon Drive and went to Jo-Jo's for shave ice. We got there just in time (their closing hours are "sometimes 5, sometimes 6, sometimes even 4pm"; we arrived at 5:50pm). Then we returned to our rental house and prepped for the next phase of our trip, the northeast side of Kauai.
