Today we drove from Glasgow to the Isle of Skye. We left Glasgow around 10:45am.
There was a little bit of
traffic in Glasgow. We followed the A82 through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs
National Park. Some of the roads here next to the lake are quite narrow.
When we got to Corran, the GPS directed me to take the ferry, but I know
a ferry isn't required, so I stayed on A82. The ferry way may involve less
driving, but I don't know how often the ferries run so I don't know if it's
actually quicker or slower.

We stopped briefly at the Kingshouse Hotel before continuing on. We entered
a beautiful mountainous region (below the Three Sisters mountains). There were many cars stopped here,
but I didn't see any good parking so we kept going. We'd stop here on the way
back in 2 days.

We crossed the Skye bridge and arrived at our rental house near Broadford at 3:55pm. After
dropping off our stuff, we drove up A87, past Portree and then onto A855. We
stopped at a couple places to enjoy the views. Then we came back and
stopped at the grocery store in Broadford before returning to the house.
