We woke up early, 6:30am, and were out of the house at 7:30am. It was sunny
as we started the drive back to Glasgow. There was little traffic. We stopped
at the Three Sisters car park and took some pictures.

As we continued the drive, the rain started. The rain was steady as we passed
through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. The rain petered out
as we approached Glasgow. After a stop for gas we returned the rental car, arriving
at the airport around 12:40pm, in plenty of time for our 2:40pm flight.
Our plane landed at 4pm. I hadn't thought we'd have time to transfer to a 5pm flight
to San Francisco, so I had planned for an extra night in Iceland. In retrospect,
since our flights were on the same airline, we probably could have asked them to
book us straight through to San Francisco, and we would have had time to make
the connection. Instead, we spent a night in Keflavik (where we'd dropped off
our backpacking gear). It's probably for the best. If we'd try to go straight
from Glasgow directly on a connecting flight to San Francisco, we would have
had to lug our backpacking gear to Scotland, and that would have required a bigger
rental car. I'm not sure I would have wanted to drive those narrow roads with
a bigger car.

In any case, we got to our hotel, then walked along the shore to Fernando's
restaurant for dinner.
