We left our rental house a bit after 10am. Shortly after, we drove up to the McGee
Creek trailhead. The area was well past peak, but I walked up the trail a bit to
get some pictures of what little color was left.

We didn't stop much after that. Most of the areas we drove through looked past peak.
We stopped in Bridgeport for sandwiches, then continued on up Highway 395, turning
left onto Sonora Pass Road (Highway 108).
Places I'd stopped at in the past along Sonora Pass were well past peak, so we didn't
stop.
We ran into a few bits of roadwork where traffic was stopped for a while, especially
near Kennedy Meadows. After that, it was smooth sailing into the Bay Area, arriving
around 5:30pm.
